Monthly Somatic Sundays Workshop & One-on-One Somatic Sessions in Ubud

Please join us to explore different trauma integration themes each month using somatic tools and exercises that support nervous system regulation, reconnection with gut knowing, release of tension and underlying exhaustion, as well as symptoms arising from dysregulation of our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

This work also invites the body to become a greater place of safety, so that our spirit’s can communicate with and inform them more easily.

The workshop will include a Somatic Experiencing demonstration session with a workshop volunteer (they are potent! ) , to assist with the integration of "stuckness" or "activation" from previous thwarted fight/flight/freeze/fawn responses. 😡🏃‍♀️🥶 They are not cathartic, and offer an applied understanding of how our stress physiology functions and can discharge.

We will end with a resourcing guided somatic integration to support our nervous systems to regulate, and our spirits to remember their home in our bodies.

Somatic Work Outside of Bali

  • We will have staff with decades of experience in this area that will be available to sit with you to provide co-regulation and emotional support. If these potential triggers arise from long-standing issues, please read the above acknowledgement and ensure that you have access to your ongoing therapist. Each participant will need to be mentally and emotionally stable enough in daily life in order to attend.

  • We do not encourage or invite cathartic release, and are also boundaried in our sharing within the group. Participants do not have to participate in activities if they are feeling overwhelmed, and are welcome to stay within their own “window or tolerance.” Everything that is shared in the group will be confidential. Staff has decades of experience holding this work and related containers.

  • Yes, we will be providing brunch, a midday snack, and dinner each day from healthy, locally sourced, vegetarian (vegan option) ingredients, all cooked by our local, private chef. We aim to stay light, healthy and nimble in our bodies, with the food provided.

  • Unfortunately not, but you can book flights into Denpasar Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport and then take a 1-1.5 hour taxi ($40 CAD, $30 USD or 400,000 IDR) to Ubud by booking through the Grab app or by finding a taxi outside of the gate. We will send you the address to arrive at our Sanctuary in Ubud via email in the weeks before we begin.

    Most nationalities will also need a visa. The 30 day B213 Tourist Visa (Approx $50 CAD or $35 USD), which can also be extended to 60 days, should work well.

    Booking.com and Airbnb.com have many excellent options for booking hotels and villas on the island.
